It is a statutory duty to publish and keep up to date a statement of needs for pharmaceutical services and this is called a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA), The latest PNA for Wokingham can now be found under “Needs assessments and further resources”.
The purpose of the PNA is to inform local plans for the commissioning of specific and specialised pharmaceutical services, which is then used to support the decision-making process for applications for new pharmacies or changes of pharmacy premises undertaken by NHS England.
