Wokingham Borough Council’s Children’s Joint Strategic Needs Assessment is currently in development and expected to be published in late autumn 2026.
The approach taken reflects Marmot principles, with a focus on the wider determinants of health and wellbeing and the importance of reducing inequalities across the life course. The structure of the JSNA has been organised into Marmot principle chapters, drawing on established frameworks to ensure a consistent and comprehensive approach.

The Children and Young People’s JSNA comprises 49 individual sections, spanning a broad range of thematic areas including best start in life, education, health and wellbeing, safeguarding, community safety, housing, and hardship. Each section is intended to provide a concise overview of need, supported by relevant data, and to highlight key issues and inequalities.
